Why use virtual reality instead of staging a real fire?
It turns theory into safe practice without live flames or permits. You can rehearse procedures that are too risky to stage—like incidents involving gas tanks or electronics—and repeat sessions as often as needed with clear feedback.
What exactly does this training teach?
The goal is to assess protocol knowledge and decision-making. It focuses on procedure: wearing required safety gear, sounding the alarm first, selecting the correct extinguisher for the fire type (solids, liquids, gas, electrical), operating at a safe distance, and evacuating.
Which languages are supported for the simulation?
The simulation is currently in English. We will translate interface text and on-screen instructions to your language at no extra cost—just tell us the target language.
Do we need your headset, or can we use our own?
You can use your own. We’ll provide a simple setup guide for Meta Quest, Pico, or PC VR. If you prefer, we can also supply a headset and ship it with the simulation preinstalled.
Is a computer required to run the training?
No computer is needed on supported headsets—once installed, it runs directly on the device. If you already have a PC VR setup, that works too.
Is this a subscription?
No. Licences are lifetime and tied to a single headset (one licence per device).
What’s included with a licence?
Trainer controls and configurable scenarios, randomized incident locations within each fire type, the practice (Safety) room, the protocol checks (alarm-first, correct extinguisher, distance, evacuation), and an end-of-run mistake report on screen.
Can we save more than 15 scenarios?
Yes. The default is 15 saved scenarios, but we can increase this for your deployment. Tell us your target count and we’ll configure it.
Can we customize the required safety gear?
Yes. We can adjust which items are required (e.g., add a helmet or remove a respirator) at no additional cost.
How long does setup take?
Installation is straightforward with our step-by-step guide. Most teams can get the training running quickly without IT specialists.
Do we need internet access to use it?
Internet is needed to download and install the app and for future updates. Day-to-day training sessions do not require a continuous internet connection.
Does the headset price include the software licence?
No. Hardware and software are separate. If you buy both, we can ship the headset with your purchased licence preinstalled.
Where do you ship headsets?
We ship for free to Europe and the USA. For other regions, contact us to arrange shipping.
What does the end-of-run report show?
It lists mistakes such as missing safety gear, grabbing an extinguisher before the alarm, choosing an inappropriate extinguisher, standing too close to the fire, or failing to evacuate.
Is this a replacement for certified live-fire training?
No. This simulation complements safety programs by practicing procedure and decision-making in a controlled environment. Use it alongside your organization’s certified training requirements.
